MAXIMIZING HEMP YIELD AND QUALITY WITH ROOTINN’S ADVANCED NUTRIENTS

Hemp farmers face ongoing challenges such as nutrient deficiencies, soil health issues, and the need for higher yields. Finding reliable, sustainable solutions to these problems is crucial for successful cultivation. Rootinn, a leader in agricultural innovation, offers advanced nutrients specifically designed to tackle these issues.

This blog post delves into our 2023-2024 trial conducted in Austria, focusing on the application of Rootinn's PowerFlour, Boron, Mg12, and Fe20. This trial aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of how these products influence the growth dynamics, health, and yield of the Rainbow Sherbert 11 hemp strain. Conducted on a test area of 80 m² with 320 plants, this detailed account covers the application methods, growing stages, and the impressive results achieved, demonstrating the effectiveness of Rootinn’s natural fertilizers in promoting sustainable and high-yield hemp cultivation.

Compatibility with Earthworms

Application Details:

  • Rootinn PowerFlour Dosage: 0.3 g/L
  • Rootinn Boron Dosage: 0.1 g/L
  • Rootinn Fe20 Dosage: 0.1 g/L
  • Rootinn Mg12 Dosage: 0.1-0.5 g/L
  • Application Method: Initial soil top dressing, foliar application, and soil application
  • Duration: 10 weeks

Trial Phases:

1. Initial Soil Top Dressing

  • Objective: To support early root and shoot development.
  • Method: At repotting, Rootinn PowerFlour (0.3 g/L), Boron (0.1 g/L), and Fe20 (0.1 g/L) were applied directly to the soil to ensure that the seedlings had access to essential nutrients right from the start.

2. Foliar Application

  • Objective: To sustain growth through vegetative and flowering stages.
  • Method:
    • First Application: In the first week of flowering, a solution containing Rootinn PowerFlour (0.3 g/L), Boron (0.1 g/L), and Fe20 (0.1 g/L) was applied at a rate of 1 liter per square meter.
    • Second Application: From the second week of flowering to the beginning of the fifth week, a solution containing Rootinn PowerFlour (0.3 g/L), Boron (0.1 g/L), and Mg12 (0.5 g/L) was applied weekly.

3. Soil Application

  • Objective: To maintain nutrient supply during critical growth stages.
  • Method:
    • First Phase: During the vegetative stage transitioning to flowering, a solution containing Rootinn PowerFlour (0.2 g/L), Boron (0.1 g/L), and Fe20 (0.1 g/L) was applied to the soil.
    • Second Phase: One week before harvest, a solution containing Rootinn Mg12 (0.3 g/L) was applied to support the final growth spurt.

This detailed application schedule was designed to optimize each growth stage of the Rainbow Sherbert 11 hemp strain, ensuring that the plants received the right nutrients at the right times. By integrating Rootinn’s advanced fertilizers into the cultivation process, the trial not only improved the efficiency of water and nutrient use but also significantly enhanced the quality and quantity of the harvest.

Documented Results:

  • Yield Increase: 15% in dry flower yield compared to the usual grow without Rootinn.
  • Improvements in Soil Structure: Contributed to the increase in quantity and quality of the yield, along with reduced water consumption.
  • Growth Efficiency: Ability to grow with a lower EC and a higher pH than usual was observed.
  • Nitrate Content Impact: The lower nitrate content led to higher THC and flavonoid levels.
  • Harvest Timing: Harvest was 1 week earlier than usual for this strain.

The trial using Rootinn PowerFlour, Boron, Mg12, and Fe20 has demonstrated remarkable outcomes in hemp cultivation, focusing on significant enhancement in water efficiency and overall plant health. By requiring approximately one-third less water than traditional methods and reducing the need for additional nutrient amendments, Rootinn’s nutrient solutions support sustainable agricultural practices effectively. The treatment led to robust plant growth and enriched harvest quality, showcasing both economic benefits and sustainability.

These results underline the potential of Rootinn’s advanced nutrients to make the agricultural process not only more efficient but also environmentally friendly. The thriving plants, characterized by dense trichome coverage and vigorous growth, reflect the high standards of productivity and environmental stewardship that Rootinn aims to achieve in the agriculture sector.
